Featured Traveler: Kathleen V.

Natural Adventurer

Our featured traveler for December is Kathleen V. – a natural adventurer!

Kathleen travels with husband Gary, featured with her in the picture, and their three dogs, Foxy, Dexter, and Shyla. They love exploring together on each assignment Kathleen takes – side roads, water areas, and surrounding towns.  Their picture was taken while at Glacier National Park.  Kathleen says about their lifestyle: “It’s an excursion for both of us, but it’s hard work too.”

Currently on assignment in Montana at a Long Term Care Facility, Kathleen has always welcomed a life of new surroundings.  Born in Ohio, she spent her childhood in Pennsylvania and, while not assignment, calls Arkansas “home”.

Kathleen is an LPN that blesses us with 26 years of nursing experience. She knew she wanted to be nurse after seeing the care her grandmother received while living in a nursing home.  It is Katherine’s mission that nursing home residents receive the same tender care they would if they were at home with family; she was certain she could make a difference. (And she does!)

I like traveling with Convergence because they put family first.  I lost my Mother, my Aunt, and my Dad this year while I was getting ready for a new assignment. Convergence was instrumental in taking care of maintaining the assignment for me.  They were also able to get me the time off I needed to attend to these life changing events.  This meant so much to me.

She continues: “I appreciate the individual attention and respect I get from the (Convergence) employees.  Brian, my recruiter, has always been available to me when I needed him and is quick to answer any questions I have.  He even continued to check on me during the period I suffered the loss of my family members. “

Kathleen has some good advise for new and existing travelers: “Enjoy your experience! There are plenty of terrific people to meet on your journey and plenty of venturing to do on your days off.”  She continues: “Always stay in close contact with your recruiter. He/She should be able to field your needs quickly and be there with advice as you take advice to others you work with. I highly recommend Convergence to others. It’s a terrific place to work. They’re the best!”
