Broadening Her Horizons
Cecelia G., LPN is our Featured Traveler for March. Cecelia has been a travel nurse for one year and says she “loves it!” She is not new to nursing however; Cecelia has 15 years of nursing experience and is currently working on assignment in North Carolina in Long Term Care. Cecelia’s motivation to enter Travel Nursing was to see the country.
“I just felt like I needed to broaden my horizons without leaving my career behind. This was the perfect way to accomplish both goals! I love the fact that I am only obligated to 13 weeks and can go elsewhere once I have completed my assignment.”
Travel Nursing keeps me on my toes because I have to acclimate myself into new work groups and learn new processes in different medical facilities. I also like the fact that I have choices on assignment locations; I believe that privilege alone keeps my career exciting.
Cecelia comments that her recruiter, Brian, is only a call away and always provides answers to any questions s in a timely manner. “He never leaves me wondering or frustrated because he acts urgently on my questions and requests. I stay with Convergence because of their service and respect for their employees, but I also believe that their paid medical benefits, other benefit options, bonuses and paid time off program are tops with the industry. Plus, my recruiter is awesome!”
We asked what advise Cecelia may have for those who haven’t traveled; this is her answer: “I have been satisfied with all of my assignments and if you don’t try traveling at some point, you will never know the personal and professional growth that you are missing out on. You just may love it!”
Cecelia continues: “I highly recommend Convergence to other Travel Professionals because of their quick response time, follow-up and availability. They are great listeners and do what they say they will do when they claim they will do it. It makes the job much easier.”
Cecelia, we hear you loud and clear, and we wouldn’t do business any other way. Many thanks to you for your great work!
